Bad luck for UConn that inning, as a potential wild pitch bounces off the home plate umpire, enabling the catcher to throw out Casey Dana trying to advance to 2B. Tough to blame Dana for bad base running on that one, as you just don't expect that bounce off the umpire.

Garbowski walked before the homer, and Zach Stephenson pinch ran for him. Chris Jones anticipating Kevin Ferrer will end up getting any future D.H. at bats in this game.
