To a 21st century teen girl all they will take out of this is that if you feel down and challenged, the best glory you are going to get is to off yourself.

I just ready a study yesterday saying what we've already know - suicide is contagious. When one kid dies at his/her own hands, it gives other depressed kids the idea.

I had a student once admire how much attention a dead classmate got. Yeah, kill yourself and you'll be really popular ... for a few days.

Same goes for these school shootings - a few more and we'll reach critical mass. Expect at least one more before the end of this school year.
