Wells starts out the game with a three for TAMU.

I guess the three is the game plan for TEX: 0-4 so far.

Geez, Texas is playing differently than they did under Aston.

Vic looks like he might be missing his former star recruits at State.

I'm sure he will be fine within a year or two. They already have a great class they just signed.

Sometimes less is more. A&M is a much better team without Carter.

I said this last year. They play as a team now and in the long run, they will be much better for it. I like this A&M so much better this year.

Good effort there by Texas at the end. Typical of a Vic Schaefer team.

Better or just differently?
Pretty much as you'd expect under Vic vs. Karen -- a lot more defensive intensity, less giving up on plays. I'd say better, but I've only seen one half this year and didn't watch them much the last year or two.

Texas reminds me on how Miss State use to flop around on the floor. I bet Vic teaches that day 1.

51-51 with 7:33 left

Seems like Collier hasn’t taken a shot since the second quarter.

A&M's guards are weak when it comes to ball handling and decision making.

Texas AM has great guard depth transferred in. Nixon, Alexis Morris, Pitts, and Zay Green.

Both of these teams seem to stand around and wait for something to happen. Charlie Collier runs to a spot on the low post and just stands there.

This is exactly what I thought. Texas was on the struggle bus all game, never could find an offensive flow, their two best players in Collier and C. Taylor both had frustrating games -- but the team on pure guts and effort, a trademark of Vic's teams, erased the deficit and had a shot at the win.

Last year under Aston this would've been a 25-point loss.

Great win by TAMU. They got Morris eligible just in time and her presence as a ball-handler and distributor did matter. The Aggies looked better today than they did against DePaul.

Collier is Texas's best option to score but didn't seem to want the ball in the 2nd half. Fatigued? Definitely not today's GOAT.
