At the end of the first quarter it's 26-13 Quinnipiac. I might have to go to more games next year. QU is well coached and the players are showing lots of effort - chasing loose balls, tipping rebounds out, and I especially like how the shooters follow their shot to the basket.

OMG! Just got in to sit down to watch some hoops and that 31-15 lead for Quinnipiac is an eyebrow-raiser. I saw Quinnipiac play in their conference tournament final and wasn't too impressed but they obviously came to play today. Marquette had all the momentum with their run to their conference tournament title.

I must admit, I'm just learning this for the first time. It seems I'd always heard it pronounced as a paroxytone.

Poor Stanford. They were the first #1 seed to lose to a #16 seed (I know injuries played a role in that historic loss)...now there's the possibility they could be the first #2 seed to lose to a #15.

First time I've seen Marquette and I'm amazed at the poor quality of basketball that they play. All one-on-one, or actually one-on-two or three. Ugly basketball, and even though I picked them just based on the seed, I'll be happy to see them go down.

Everyone does. I dont understand why it's so hard for them to learn the correct pronunciation.

I remember when Q played their first D1 game ever against UConn in the late 90s. Sadly I'm getting old, so that actually is 20 years ago, but still weird to see a program from nothing to the cusp of an NCAA upset.
