12 Players Scored!

Anyone have any idea when the last time was that we had 12 players play in a game…let alone having every one of them score? What a great game. This is who we can be!

I found the answer - February 17, 2008 vs Pitt was the last time 12 players scored for UConn in a game. Much longer ago than I would have thought. Let’s do it again tonight!

I posted this a few minutes ago on the Villanova game thread before I saw this thread. Hope this double post is forgivable.

I had forgotten how weak the supporting cast was for the trio of Moore/Charles/Montgomery in 2008. They had Greene, Doty, and Hayes when they won in 2009 and Faris in 2010.

True UConn had 12 players in the boxscore against Villanova, and most for significant minutes. Griffin (9 minutes) and Cheli (11 minutes) got shots up though none fell. Only Q (5 minutes)didn't get up at least one shot.

With those kind of minutes I expect it won't be too much longer before UConn sees that almost 17 year streak end.

Never mind .... came late to the thread and didn't realize the op was about Sunday's game and not Wednesday's game.
