Both Morton and Padilla have been bringing their offensive production up of late, and it does show in their rising batting averages and on base percentages, and other stats.

The conditions are ugly today but so far UConn has been very disciplined in staying focused, grinding through at bats. Chris Jones has mentioned this a few times and I agree. On days like today staying focused and grinding through a potentially sloppy game will be key.

Really good start from Sears despite what the numbers might say. The defense has not played up to its usual standards, with the weather playing a big role in that. I trust Sears in a regional game at this point, which is more than I can say for our remaining starters with the possible exception of Cookie.
