A disappointing recap.

hard to understand boarding calls sometimes. So if heaslip was a foot away from the boards its a boarding but if hes right near the boards oh well?

Muldowney out tomorrow? As if tonight couldnt be any worse. Tbey just said 5 minute and a game misconduct for Muldowney becaise of a spearing at the end of the game. What a crapshow.
 
That was not a good game our pk sucked. And we didn't forecheck enough. Cav better get his team ready for tomorrow. And they better win tomorrow since there's gonna be a big crowd. They better show up since they have been awful in Hartford!

Good thing Heaslip was on the boards and not in no man’s land 2-3 feet off the boards. He probably wouldn’t have gotten up from that.

I am confident that UConn will give it their all tomorrow. Should be another good Hockey East battle.

If I’m not mistaken, we take our first 5 minute major of the year. Does that mean that Muldowney sits tomorrow?
I’m not sure of the HE and NCAA rules in a situation like that…
That’s the first selfish play of the year that I’ve seen from our guys. I am incredibly disappointed by that.
BC is too good to be beaten by anything less than our best and most disciplined effort.
SATURDAY @ 3:00 is when we see what these Huskies are made of.

Took a look at the rules and they are at best confusing. A major along with a game disqualification means the player sits out the next game. But since he did this after the final horn, he can’t be disqualified. I think. Clear as mud. But as I think about it more they did give him a game misconduct…so he may be out. I know, not very helpful.

Then there is this…from perplexity AI…A major penalty that also carries a game disqualification (game misconduct or game disqualification) results in an automatic suspension for the next game.[wikipedia +1]

We didn’t play as badly as everyone is saying. BC really had to work to get their 3rd goal. Perfect passing and a snipe of a goal. They have lots of skill, but also some solid upperclassman. They’re probably the best team in the league and therefore a road loss to them is not something to worry about. We’re going to finish in the top 4 of Hockey East. Hopefully, we don’t have to win the tournament to make the NCAA’s.

Well, we had only 5 shots in the third period and 3 came in the last 3 minutes when it was academic. We weren’t horrible, but we also were not very good. Took some very unnecessary penalties. Allain-Samakes basically cost us the game.
