If I’m not mistaken, we take our first 5 minute major of the year. Does that mean that Muldowney sits tomorrow?
I’m not sure of the HE and NCAA rules in a situation like that…
That’s the first selfish play of the year that I’ve seen from our guys. I am incredibly disappointed by that.
BC is too good to be beaten by anything less than our best and most disciplined effort.
SATURDAY @ 3:00 is when we see what these Huskies are made of.

Took a look at the rules and they are at best confusing. A major along with a game disqualification means the player sits out the next game. But since he did this after the final horn, he can’t be disqualified. I think. Clear as mud. But as I think about it more they did give him a game misconduct…so he may be out. I know, not very helpful.

Then there is this…from perplexity AI…A major penalty that also carries a game disqualification (game misconduct or game disqualification) results in an automatic suspension for the next game.[wikipedia +1]

We didn’t play as badly as everyone is saying. BC really had to work to get their 3rd goal. Perfect passing and a snipe of a goal. They have lots of skill, but also some solid upperclassman. They’re probably the best team in the league and therefore a road loss to them is not something to worry about. We’re going to finish in the top 4 of Hockey East. Hopefully, we don’t have to win the tournament to make the NCAA’s.

Well, we had only 5 shots in the third period and 3 came in the last 3 minutes when it was academic. We weren’t horrible, but we also were not very good. Took some very unnecessary penalties. Allain-Samakes basically cost us the game.

If it is not a hardened rule, I wonder if cav is talking to hockey East officials about this today trying to get some leniency.
Forget it I should’ve read the other posts. always important to keep in mind in a Boston centric league. I would not expect any favors to come our way.
What could be in our favor is that Muldowney has a clean record and it’s not like the victim crumbled to the ground in agony. That’s all I got.
