Bump, anyone want to revise a prediction or two after the expeditions?

1) Shonn Miller will have 10 double doubles this season (had 11 last year).
TRUE.

2) Gibbs, Purvis, DHam, Miller and Brimah will each have a 25+ pt game (all did at least once last year).
FALSE. One of Brimah or Miller won't get there.

3) The team averages more 3's per game than last year (6.45).
TRUE.

4) Captains are Brimah and Purvis.
TRUE.

5) Brimah averages over 4 blocks per game (3.5 last year).
FALSE.

6) Purvis, Brimah, and DHam all declare for the draft after this season.
FALSE. Purvis is 80% gone. Hamilton 70%. Brimah 20%.

7) UCONN will finally claim their birthright and become AAC regular season champs.
FALSE. SMU still has our number until proven otherwise.

8) UCONN works their way into the AP top 10 at some point this season.
TRUE. No idea if we'll stay there, but if we win some early-season games, we'll get there.

9) Jalen will average 10ppg.
FALSE. Too much balance for him to get there, even in 25 mpg.

10) Someone will have a triple double (who do you think is most likely?).
FALSE. It is really, really hard to get a triple double, but if someone does get there, it would most likely be Hamilton (points, rebounds, assists).

2) Gibbs, Purvis, DHam, Miller and Brimah will each have a 25+ pt game (all did at least once last year). - False, it's really hard to score 25 points and this team should be incredibly balanced. I wouldn't be surprised if this team only has a couple 25 point games between them.

3) The team averages more 3's per game than last year (6.45). - True, and hopefully, by a healthy margin

4) Captains are Brimah and Purvis. - Maybe. We have about seven guys who would be deserving captains.

5) Brimah averages over 4 blocks per game (3.5 last year). - False. UConn has so many shot blockers that I don't anticipate many teams challenging them inside.

6) Purvis, Brimah, and DHam all declare for the draft after this season. - False. All very well could, but the law of averages suggest one of them is probably back.

7) UCONN will finally claim their birthright and become AAC regular season champs. - True. It isn't hard to envision Cincinnati or SMU edging them out, though, even if UConn does live up to expectations.

8) UCONN works their way into the AP top 10 at some point this season. - True. The Michigan game is crucial...win that one and we're off and running.

9) Jalen will average 10ppg. - False. Too much balance.

10) Someone will have a triple double (who do you think is most likely?). - True, I think Hamilton posts one against one of the cupcakes early in the season.

Toughest one to answer. Gonna say false and go with Cincinnati as regular season champs.

Bump/verdict.

1) Shonn Miller will have 10 double doubles this season (had 11 last year).
FALSE. Only 1 double-double, in the first game against Maine. His rebounding just never materialized the way we expected (5.3 rpg), though some of that may be due to fewer mpg than expected also.

2) Gibbs, Purvis, DHam, Miller and Brimah will each have a 25+ pt game (all did at least once last year).
FALSE. Gibbs (vs. Memphis), Purvis (vs. UMass-Lowell), Miller (vs. CCSU), Hamilton (vs. Cincy) got there, but Brimah did not.

3) The team averages more 3's per game than last year (6.45).
TRUE. 247 3's/36 games ~6.86 3PM/game.

4) Captains are Brimah and Purvis.
TRUE? I know Brimah was -- not sure about another.

5) Brimah averages over 4 blocks per game (3.5 last year).
FALSE. Only 2.7 bpg for Brimah. In fact, his numbers aside from rebounding were down across the board on a per-game basis. 9.1 --> 6.6 ppg, 3.5 --> 2.7 bpg, 26.3 --> 21.2 mpg, 4.4 --> 4.7 rpg. On a per-minute basis, the scoring was down, blocks around the same, but rebounding up.

6) Purvis, Brimah, and DHam all declare for the draft after this season.
FALSE. Purvis has announced he intends to return, Hamilton would be dubious, and there's no way Brimah leaves.

7) UCONN will finally claim their birthright and become AAC regular season champs.
FALSE. 11-7, 6th in the AAC. We did win the AAC Tournament though.

8) UCONN works their way into the AP top 10 at some point this season.
FALSE. Started at 20. Only got as high as 18. Kind of goes along with question #7.

9) Jalen will average 10ppg.
FALSE. Though he came on late, Adams struggled much of the year, especially with his shooting, and finished with 7.3 ppg. He'll be a stud next year.

10) Someone will have a triple double (who do you think is most likely?).
TRUE! Hamilton flirted with triple doubles in many games, and actually got there against CCSU (11 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists).
