In 2020 DePaul started out 9-0 and went 12-1 in non-con with wins over then Kenpom 23 (Iowa), 27 (Minnesota), and 21 (Texas Tech) and they were receiving AP votes at the time.

DePaul plays a similarly rate team by KenPom on Friday. We'll see how this great DePaul Basketball renaissance is going after that.
 
Hot Ba**s is a degenerate whose stain can be seen across the entire athletic department. That X Space he held w DB had to be the lowest moment on a platform thats had its share of lows.

It just struck me and perhaps it is a duh moment, but has anyone ever considered that DePaul is a catholic school and their logo is pretty much a picture of the devil. That just is wrong in so many ways. Who could have thought that was a good idea.

Don’t look now, but Villanova has a competitor for the new DePaul gig. Yes, it’s the mighty Pirates of Seton Hall! They have had back to back impressive performances losing to mighty Fordham them following that up by falling to the 112th ranked Hofstra Pride. For all you NEWBE fanboys, there are still tickets available for the big matchup between these two cupcakes on December 17. Loser gets to wear DePaul uniforms for the remainder of the season! Don’t miss it!

I feel bad for Seton Hall. The NIL/portal era has not been kind to them. Losing Richmond to St. John's definitely stung.

I do think Holloway is a good coach and the team will be better by the end of the season. Still, it's definitely been a "yikes" start for them.
 
I think Holloway is good too. I just don’t think they have much upside. If you are a really good player are you going to want to play in South Orange New Jersey? And from what I’ve read they aren’t exactly awash in NIL money. And They are like the #3-4 team in NJ which doesn’t help.
 
Holloway gets his teams to give max effort on the defensive end which is a big part of college coaching, but he is consistently among the worst when it comes to shot making. Those eFG% and TO% columns are consistently and remarkably bad. He’s a flat out bad offensive coach IMO. He needs someone to help him learn on that end, or it will not end well for him there. I’m not sure if it’s his fault or not, but he’s been absolutely awful on the recruiting trail his entire tenure too.

Do we even want that? With their OOC record dont we want them and Nova to be battling for last place?
