My point was simply that nobody who knows what they’re looking at or doing would rate Malou-Mamel as a better player or college prospect than Macy AT THIS POINT.
Macy at 6-2 is most likely a 4/PF in college. Probably not quick enough to play as a guard or wing on the perimeter, particularly on defense. Bourrage is a 6-0 combo guard. Keep an eye on home state Iowa for her.
Macy may have made her own conclusions but she would likely not have gotten that specific info on Somfai from UConn. And UConn may have indicated to either Somfai or McGaughy that they were their top recruiting target but it's very unlikely that UConn would have shared specific names of other...
UConn didn't have to mention it. The top players on these summer shoe circuits, Nike, UA, Adidas etc. all have a good idea of who's being recruited by who. There's a lot of communication going on during those long tournament weekends.
1) Obviously I don't know Auriemma's preferences but my priority would be Somfai/McGaughy and then Macy. Somfai and McGaughy's games are very, very similar in every way. Both 6-3 and prototype 4/3s. Big enough to play inside and plenty skilled enough to play on the perimeter. You can't go wrong...
It's possible that, like most of UConn's top recruits, her OV would be in Oct. for 1st Night and she's only listing the imminent ones right now. If this is accurate I don't know how many trips cross country GA makes for kids who don't have one. I don't know what IYKYK means or if this actually...
I have no idea. Looks like he just gives opinions anonymously since I don't see anything that identifies him.

Probably. The difference is that in 3 years at Princeton, Chen has done things and played a specific position well enough to create interest from UConn. The others obviously haven't.
Then shouldn't there be a rule that coaches and ADs have to sit out a year before they can go to another NCAA school for a better situation or more money?
Athletic scholarships are renewable by the school each year. They are basically a one year contract for BB services. The player completes the year with full participation in all BB activities and being in good academic standing. The contract has been fulfilled and both sides are now free to...
Brady isn't afraid of contact. On defense she bodies for position as well as anyone. Offensively, because of the bigger quicker competition, she's gotten into a bad habit of trying to avoid defenders to get her shot off. Once she learns to go up into the defender's face inside to draw the...
The portal and NIL weren't put in for parity. They are for student-athletes to have the same freedom and rights that coaches, ADs, and everyone else has. To go where and when you want for more money or a better situation. The "haves" have been backdoor bargaining and using the shoe companies to...
No apparent UConn offer and most likely a heavy lean to Iowa. Has visited there from Alaska and it just happens that her aunt played two seasons for Lisa Bluder.
You’re right and Auriemma would most likely agree with you if he had even heard about this stuff. It’s amusing what some people will take and run with having nothing to base it on.
I agree and the local HS stats mean very little also. Examples of that would be A. Patterson and DeBerry. For many of these high potential kids their lack of winter competition gives them very little college prep. Playing half a game against kids 3-4 inches shorter and slower doesn’t push them...
GA has plenty of wings for the next 2-3 years and I doubt that Crump has an offer. If Bueckers and Griffin leave after next season that leaves him 4 spots to fill unless he brings in a portal commitment of two years. That would leave 3. He has Gandy and Fisher coming and at least 2 offers out...
This wasn't a ranking, this is ONE media site naming her POY. None of the ranking services rated Fudd ahead of those two because they all rank players by class, not overall. And she was in a different class.
