Mikayla may not be quite the generational player that Sarah is (and a lot of Vandy fans might well disagree)
but she is a unique talent and talk of shutting her down is silly.

Blanca is going to be the best player in America soon.....Thats my analysis.

Blanca requires one additional shot to reach her full potential…a pull-up in the lane.
She has the summer to perfect it…perhaps it’s already there in naiscent form.
Add that to her...
Except that…that is one stat that they probably don’t have or consider if they do and with all the new people on the committee, experience is meaningless...
So coach Jack is rightfully (or wrongly) calling it to their attention.
What I like about Uche is her quick, elevated, true fadeaway jump-shot in the mid-range…somewhat like Paige’s…a lethal weapon that will serve her well.
If the can get her the ball in position, she will be a handful.
I wish that Blanca would develop that shot…would make her unstoppable.
UTSA had a decent plan concocted by Aston which
encouraged UConn to shoot from distance which was unsuccessful in the first half. They were a spirited team; which could not handle UConn’s press but was fine against conventional defense.
A few posters above paid tribute to our “2nd team” guards...
Obviously when you have 2 defenders pressuring one offensive player, someone is open.
I haven’t studied the games in slo-motion to determine why our pressure defense is so much more effective than (say) Tennessee’s…Perhaps someone can explain...
We give up few uncontested layups but obviously...
-When Sarah is chasing shots it opens more possibilities for everyone…look for some interesting new combos upcoming.
-Sarah was credited for 3 T/O’s (I thought it was 4)
-Last Sarah…Did anyone notice a never seen before shot?…Just before the half, She dusted off a baby hook…Went in of course...
I didn’t know where Montella was so I checked the map…about 40 miles or so due West of Salerno (in which we reularly stay)…South of Napoli that we love.
Next time, must must explore central Campagna; didn’t have a car this time.
We stayed over the holidays in Agropoli on the coast to the South...
-Kayleigh’s 8 rebounds led the team
-Kayleigh’s 7 assists led the team
-Serah’s 4 fouls kept her off the court for most of the
game…too bad.
As coach Flanery noted: UConn has more talent than last year…he think’s they’re better (paraphrased)
The jury is out on that until stronger competition...
I note that Geno has said more than once that we’re not as good as we look…again today
Should that be a concern?
Above my pay grade and I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn
the other night in Boston (for the Blomstedt concert …
age 98 ).
But to my eyes (still not failing) UConn’s D is the most...
I was at the game though a bit down with long C
A few points:
-Serah’s strong game did not exactly start at the beginning…She was pulled early after some less than stalwart D but when she came back…if not exactly a terror, a very aggressive, competent post…Either some one gave her notes on the...
