    OT: Basic Tools

We home owners with an acre or so of woods surrounding our 4BR homes are no longer amateurs. I couldn't even access this house in winter snow if not for my snowblower. I installed the toilets and faucets in this house and have done a bunch of things. Nothing electrical except light switches and...

    Beer

Amen to that. After Labor Day only. I hate the rush to claim it is fall. It's not fall until nearly the end of September. Then they rush winter too. It's not just beer, it's everything.

    Pizza in MA

You can't get to the outside area without going through the inside area. That's the reason.

Cold Harbor has a full restaurant. If you go you'll see dogs wouldn't work.

OT: Kansas U. athletics gets $300m gift, $175m of which goes into permanent revenue stream

He had already given some money, which is why the new football stadium is named for him. He is a graduate of Lawrence HS and KU, so pretty deep ties. Stadium looks great.

    Pizza in MA

Not dog friendly but Armsby Abby is a must visit. Food is good too but the tap list is legendary and usually includes Hill Farmstead. Greater Good for big IPAs. We talked about Cold Harbor already (pizza is decent too). There are a bunch of small places west of Worcester kind of in the...

    Pizza in MA

In that case though, you're closer to an exit to the Pike than I would have guessed. But you're not to far from Shrewsbury St. in Worcester, so you can experiment with those places. I used to live in Shrewsbury when I moved back to New England from CA, don't recall any good pizza. The Blue...

    OT-Fantasy Football

I was in this one years ago, but at this point, if I tell my wife I'm occupied with yet another fantasy draft that may not go well. Anybody do a Dysnasty league? Joined one last year (and won) and it's fun. The initial draft is a monster, we did a slow draft with 24 hour allowed between...

    OT: Basic Tools

A bow saw takes down 3-4 inch saplings just fine. And a manual pole saw will do the same for branches. I did finally buy a Stihl chainsaw some years back, and did successfully use it without hurting myself. But the use case is really limited to small but slightly bigger than sapling trees...

    Pizza in MA

I work in Hopkinton. Will need to hit Blue Square. Rail Trail in Milford is pretty good, a bit garlicky for me. Good taps though. Prezzo in Milford is also a solid pizza spot.

That is how I use them now. But the drill was mostly adequate at screwing. The Metabo does have a fantastic attachment system and a ton of driver inserts (and small sockets). So that's nice.

    Pizza in MA

It's not that far. But that location doesn't have the pizza they have at some others. Unless that has changed.

    OT: Basic Tools

I feel like I needed one for years, finally bought a nice one (breaking my "stay with the same brand" rule) , Metabo HPT (former Hitachi) and I really haven't needed it. It's nice but my use cases have been more limited.

    OT: Basic Tools

I've got Ryobi battery tools I've used many hundreds of times. Never failed yet. My nephew works for the parent company TTI, they make Milwaukee too. Black and Decker, that's a risk. For outdoor lawn care stuff I'd go with eGo. !00% on YouTube. It is invaluable. Incredible what you can...

Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

I believe it. WVU and Cinci would both prefer the ACC. Natural rivals with Pitt and VT. Ideally the Big XII could poach Cal and Stanford in return and conferences could be a bit more sane. An SMU for UCF trade would also make sense.
