    OT: Stock trading

I think everyone misunderstood what I mean by self-directed IRA = not I pick investments in a rollover 401K or an IRA, but an SDIRA is administered by a 3rd party custodian and one can invest in anything including solely purchasing real estate property for investment purposes. In my case I want...

    OT: Stock trading

Anyone have experience with self directed IRA/401K ? I’m looking to roll some former employer 401k $ to invest, the custodians all seem online fee warehouses and just too eager to get enrollment. Would feel nervous sending them even 50k.

Are we worried about our backcourt?

That's way overstating it since Malachi had 9 assists each of the past two games - IF we have to make a bad analogy to football that's 3-4 touchdown passes. At most we are a hockey team whose first line center isn't putting the puck in the net, getting lots of assists but also creating too many...

What are the greatest photos in UConn History?

That's my hand in the lower right corner.

    Illinois Post Game Thread

Maybe he means the movie itself and not that UConn is a character in the movie. E.g. 3rd movie in a championship trilogy that ends up being some people's favorite?!

2026 Recruiting: Abdou Toure update from aaron torres

On behalf of Liam McNeeley & Steph Castle, What?!

    Massively Off Topic - Bidets

Yeah, TMI for sure but that's my biggest question. How often are you getting your hand involved? Is the standard two rinses then done ? - Maybe a post bidet test wipe with toilet paper and then you have a decision to make? Seems like there should be a mirror or camera feature so that you can...

Reibe and Furphy at FIBA U19s

Saw most of 2nd half on my phone. Reibe had a good bucket on strong inside finishing move and Furphy a mix of a made 3 and drive and a few missed drives/three's as AUS' frantic comeback fell short. Would say that both looked solid not spectacular competing in high level game. If had to blindly...

Did the C's make mistake not drafting McNeeley

That's my point, Stephens drafts Spanish athleticism, but passed on AJax athleticism due to shooting. A legit reason for sure with respect to AJax. But notwithstanding limited playing time this year and bad shooting I've heard (on a draft reaction podcast I think?!) historically Hugu is a high...

Reibe and Furphy at FIBA U19s

I can't believe people are arguing over plus/minus for a single game?! And a FIBA game at that. I thought we'd long got over the fact that this is a very indirect stat and much more a product of who you are playing with and against vs how you performed.

Did the C's make mistake not drafting McNeeley

What's weird is the guy the Celtics drafted Hugo seems like a Spanish AJax. Energy, hustle, size and athleticism but not great shooting. The Celts did have some very good Ray Allen years and the last couple good years of Kemba's career, but I've given up hope for them ever drafting a UConn...

    OT: Lakers $10B sale question

The Mavs winning the lottery after trading Luka is the only thing on your list that smells of conspiracy to me. What is the conspiracy exactly? Does Marc Cuban or other Dallas owners get a cut of the Lakers sale?! That'd be tough to hide. The NBA orchestrated all of this to generate interest...

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

Not sure I understand, isn't all we are talking about the new legislation and how it impacts everything going forward? The article huskymedic links that is mostly about BC also highlights the problem but in a different way (all BC major sport teams suck). The UConn conundrum is that the women's...

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

My understanding of the new rules/law is that there is a separate special committee that approves every NIL deal. So as I And you said if the deals are legit that’s fine but in theory they are all now scrutinized.

House v. NCAA settlement approved: Landmark decision opens door for revenue sharing in college athletics

That’s good if true and those deals are legit and will be approved by the official NIL collective. I don’t follow it (eg Paige’s deals though I think I read a headline that she was getting as much NIL money as any college athlete) but generally there is the feeling that lots of the NIL is...
