    DePaul Post Game Thread

We played without our best scorer with little practice time to adjust. We adjusted pretty well. I have no clue what people expect, the opponent to roll over? Demary did a great job of scoring in Ball’s absence and Mullins doing zero until the last few minutes. We should pass Duke.

QB Joe Fagnano headed to the East-West Shrine Bowl (1/27/26 Frisco, Texas)

Whatever. As I said in another thread, if the only post season these guys will hang around for is a playoff bowl, than why play any games once your team has too many losses to ever make a playoff? 3 or 4 games left in a season is , I think, adding to that injury risk k. But the fans are ask...

There is risk in one play in one game no matter how you slice it. The injury logic is pretty much the same even if the odds are higher or lower. It is what it is as the saying goes.

Will Rutgers win a tournament game

My son is a prof at a college close to Syracuse. It pays his bills.

Exactly. I wonder if any of them even played pick,up games. Every game is different and every match up, is different. Winning is fun. Worrying about things that are less than perfect is what coaches do.

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

L of course i would root for them. The point is let’s not pretend that we are the same team that won 9 games and can compete fair and square. Hey maybe the guys who actually play should have been playing more regularly or are better than the guys who opt to not play. One way or another, the...

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

Of course the Fenway Bowl and 90% of the bowls are not particularly meaningful. Hey, are any Bowls very important? But more to the point, if for, arguments sake, UConn might be in a playoff potential but by week 9 they have 3 losses and are no longer a playoff possibility. Why should fans care...

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

Yes, but it seems to me that the season long goal is to get to the post season. This is only a little tongue in cheek, but the record becomes a bit inconsequential if it’s all about the health of the individual rather than team and program goals. The only thing that would mean anything is each...

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

Yeah, except why play the game before the bowl game? You can get hurt on the first play of the season. College sports are pretty much a mess. Too easy to transfer, too easy to sit out with no consequence. UConn is especially vulnerable. No league and we aren’t ND.

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

The schools lose money as I understand it even if all the players show.

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

Because these teams are not the teams that earned a bowl bid. Kind of the school name and not the team shows up Should be a condition of the scholarship. Too many bowls in the first place, but the fans get cheated.

Anyone Attending the USC Game this Weekend?

My son and grandson who live in LA are going. While he didn’t go to UConn, my son was a co-founder of the original UConn sports chat system which was e-mail and a bit cumbersome.

This is a a silly idea with which to argue with.
