    Reed Possibly Returning?

Two lessons. Never type at 3 in the morning when one can’t sleep. And always remember that BL rarely smiles when proofreading. Glad you read my post.

    Reed Possibly Returning?

Liked this for 2 reasons. I agree with it and you wrote “should have” not “should of”. Half the people here don’t know what a contraction is

    Entering the portal - 2026

That’s why we can’t be holier than thou, but it is totally out of control.

    Entering the portal - 2026

Crap is too mild a word. The transfer rule is the big culprit, coupled with NIL makes “college” sports a disgusting joke. Why not just make it what it already is, a world apart from the universities. Let them just sponsor teams, sign players to a contract, and be minor leagues for the pros. In...

    Tilda Trygger - possibility?

How do you know that’s the reason or if she was thinking UConn at all ? We have no clue how much real UConn interest she had ever.

OT - Syracuse making major academic program cuts

I have a close relative who is a prof at a college in the Syracuse area. SU does have some notable programs, but the city has little to offer. Other schools in the upper mid west have rough winter weather and not a lot to do outside of the school. SU is not that unlike a lot of other schools...

Executive order aims to limit NCAA athletes to 5 years, 1 transfer

A fix is needed but this doesn’t fly and I’m reasonably sure no court will bless it. It goes way outside the bounds of what Executive Orders are meant to do, namely tell federal agencies how existing laws are to be administered or other orders within the Constitutional power of a president...

    Okay….who’s nervous?

I reached the stage a few years ago that I just appreciate that my school has 2 teams that are often (ok, the women pretty much always) get to the last weekend of the season. Of course I want them to win, but I will miss them more than be nervous about the game. Probably.

Early line on UConn vs SC

Exactly. The men’s team won by 1 and Duke had to go home the same as if they lost by 20. SC did look pretty good but it was easy to see why Miles and Hildago could not play well together. I would take Hildago Miles tries to be slick on every play

How Did We Win (one day later)

Definitely a mistake but who reminded him they didn't have to advance the ball.

How Did We Win (one day later)

Not toget into a debate, the right play was to get fouled. They didn’t have to worry about a 10 second call and their guards would have to go 0-2 and UConn would have to go full court to tie or win. But it still took a great play by Demary

How Did We Win (one day later)

Duke was up 2 and if they make both FT they are up by 4 with about 6 seconds left. A coaching blunder.

How Did We Win (one day later)

We won because Duke tried to advance the ball when they pretty much could just stand there and get fouled. That is a coaching mistake

Was that the biggest shot in UConn history

One thing is always true about a basketball shot - it has to come down somewhere (source, Isaac Newton) and Tate put it up in the right direction

Was that the biggest shot in UConn history

Beating Duke probably gets the nod, but the Tate George shot and this one were in pretty similar circumstance, George's shot one round earlier. Both involved more than just the shot. Took an amazing pass from Burrell for George to even get the ball and George was not a great shooter. Mullins had...
