I am watching 1971 on Apple TV with my 22-year-old daughter, who thinks we are in the worst of times. She had no idea about such relatively recent history, and the music is awesome.
I am a fairly high donor and can afford a lot of stuff, I remember the cost to go to the Fiesta Bowl and I balked, it cost more to go to one bowl game than it was to the entire big east tournament. Now a Boston trip is over $200 a ticket, can I afford it? Yes, but with all the other costs...
I am a semi-major donor. This is why I started this thread. Even donating at an astronomical level, I feel I am being priced out. I got invited to an away trip to a football game, and at a pre-dinner, I was at a table with a Coke rep who had never been to a football game and really was not...
I thought it was a fun guilty pleasure, everything you would expect from an Adam Sandler movie. It is worth watching just for the joke with the Jack Nicklaus cameo.
I have been a Sirius/XM subscriber for years, but I recently discovered the Spectrum channel, which offers a nice blend of old and new music. Eddie 9V is in the rotation and has won me over as a fan; his music has a nice bluesy 70s vibe. He will be touring in the area this August.
My Dad started buying football and soccer tickets (I think it was in the early 80s) because you got more basketball points. He didn't know much about soccer but started going to the games and fell in love with it. After college late 80s we started going to football games at Memorial Stadium...

Nice event, not the crowd that was probably expected, but good for a cold rainy night. I showed up with my brother and got a beer and it was just a few minutes after 5. It looked like there was already a t-shirt giveaway that we missed. All the tables were full so we didn't feel like...
That is because the selection goes by donor level category, then point totals in the donor level. Basically, someone who donated $100,000 for the first time last year will pick ahead of someone who has been donating $25,000 a year for 30 years.
Interesting to see they are moving the benches in the Civic Center to the other side of the court. I've enjoyed listening to Calhoun and now Hurley from section 115 for 30+ years, might have to look into changing sides.
