There is no way the Big East could expand unless DePaul was jettisoned. It wouldn't be fair to have an unbalanced schedule because those are just automatic wins at this point. Marquette is up on DePaul 27-8.

Georgetown actually put up 53 points - in the 2nd half! A loss, but still.
Could go to 22 league games if you expand by one but I get your point

This would be kind of a big win for Providence if they can hold on.

Claude could hold a clinic in choking at crunch time. Why does Miller keep putting the ball in his hands?

So, getting blocked at the rim by a 6’10” center qualifies Claude as a choker? Only in your world Nelson.

Taking the ball at a 6'10 center that then stuffs him qualifies as a bad decision, and a choke. In any world.

I thought, "Tough Night for Cincinnati's 3 D-1 Teams" was going to be your lead.

Kentucky gets lead with 12 ticks to go. Then loses to LSU on a last-second shot off a broken play.
Dillingham had 23 points in 22 minutes. What the hell is Calipari doing?

Always a tough situation for the coach, because he's the worst defender on the team by a mile. Usually those guys in the NBA end up as microwave scorers off the bench. But it's a lot easier in college to just outscore other teams if you start those guys.

And Sheppard only played 26 minutes. According to the boxscore neither started. I didn't watch the game but was there a reason for this? Or is Calipari trying to get fired?

He never starts them. It's crazy, they're his two best players.

My Kentucky buddy said it's all ego and his promises to AAU heads and agents. He makes promises he should never make and then keeps them to keep getting the players coming in.

Speaking of coaches not playing guys, I completely forgot Pitino poached Simeon Wilcher from UNC and then never plays him. No idea why, he's a solid player and it's not like they're playing exceptionally well

Thanks. At the expense of losing? He really needs to be fired.

Colorado St and New Mexico with an insane last minute.

Colorado St made a 3 to take the lead with 42 sec left. New Mexico came down and made 2 FTs on a fouled drive. Stevens from Colo St made a dime for a layup to take back the lead. Jaelen House from New Mexico made a tough banked runner from the side to re-take the lead. Then he fouled Colo St with 7 sec left 23 feet from the basket and they made 2 to take back the lead. Then Dent with an ankle breaker drive for an And-1 to take a 2-point lead with 3 sec left. Colo St. threw the ball ahead and called timeout so had an inbounds with 2.8 left and a shot to win it but missed.

6 lead changes in the final minute.

He actually leaks out like he’s looking for an outlet when that shot gets blocked. Kid is an electric scorer - maybe the best in college basketball when he’s on - but an almost comically disinterested defender who makes some flat out bizarre decisions. Vecenie is right - you’d be forgiven for thinking he should have been benched for long stretches of this game.
