Gotta admit, Jays have some stones. No bench help at all, other than King - who just got his 4th PF.

Creighton's bench is terrible, and has no height. They can't lose King.

If he wants to make out with Kaluma before 1/7 I’m ok with that .
Agreed. Although, kind of want to kick their faces in at full strength so there are no asterisks next to our first win against them.

McDermott left King on the bench too long. Mitchell is not a scoring threat, so ASU has been playing 5 on 4 defensively for the last 3 minutes. King would have forced ASU to defend down low and given Creighton a shot at a traditional 3 point play. Now they have to hit a 3 or hope ASU misses foul shots.

One thing in Creighton's favor is ASU sucks from the FT line tonight.

I don't like that time out. A short clock is an advantage for the defense coming out of the timeout. Hurley can throw something crazy at Creighton and McDermott is tapped for TO's.

Edit: Hurley outcoached McDermott. The play was a 1-on-1 for Scheierman that ASU could provide just enough help on to eliminate any path to the hoop. Burned the clock, game over. Should not have called the timeout.

We will wear Creighton down. I don’t see how they have any chance against us.

Awful shot, but par for the course for 2022-23 Creighton

That was more Scheierman's fault. Not much Nembhard could do with that. Not sure who the ball was supposed to go to, but Nembhard became the only option.

This team NEEDS Kalkbrenner back.

What difference does it make? Creighton is cooked. Generally, when a team that is highly ranked in the preseason faceplants out of the gate like Creighton has, their season spirals.

Arizona State looks like a 25-30 ranked team. Creighton, without Kalk, looked no better. If you took Sanogo away from us, we would still be a top 15 team.

McDermott called a timeout for that play. It was a stupid call that a good coach won't make. You don't call timeouts with under 10 seconds if you have the ball over half court. Every team at every level has a go to play or plays for that situation.

McDermott has choked his season away with these last three losses.
