@Sam_Vecenie: Poythress is on pace to graduate in spring. He could apply for a med redshirt, transfer w/ 2 yrs remaining and immediate eligibility.
I want him! Please........

PAUSE!!!!!I want him! Please...

Not a recruiting guy in any sense, but i think we have a few wings we are recruiting harder than him.Tweeted at him asking if uconn is still in pursuit, he favorited that tweet. Not sure what that means. Any of the recruiting guys here know what's up?
Well that's just one criterion. Also is not allowed to be from New England or New York.Hope we got room for him. Top 25 should be our target range now.![]()
OK on Caron. The list is a lot longer of kids that had trouble.Yeah, like Caron Butler.
I mean, you guys DO realize that is exactly why he brought those guys in, right ? Hoping that he could give them the chance to turn things around, exactly like Caron Butler did. You don't get to point out the questionable recruits without expressly acknowledging the shining example of why you take a chance on guys like that.
Not sure what you mean, but there's nothing really new on Jackon's recruitment, except for this article from one of the recruiting sites:I always hate when someone revives an old thread and says what happened here, but what happened here?
Chief might just be the most interesting poster in the world. Recruits become top 10 simply by Chief mentioning their name. You can't teach height, but Chief can.
Exactly how effective would our recruiting have been after he got pinched for soliciting. Come to UConn, get an education in the classroom, on the hardwood and with the hard...ah...never mind.Calhoun wanted to keep Clyde but Hathaway ran for political cover and forced Clyde out.
I heard at the time that he lied about his behavior to Coach Calhoun; that really dug his grave more than anything Hathaway did or said. A prominent area rabbi (from Vernon I believe) was caught up in the same investigation of Hartford street prostitutes. A few years earlierExactly how effective would our recruiting have been after he got pinched for soliciting. We're the best school on that list, and have his former teammate on the roster. Would be huge.Vance Jackson listed UConn, California, USC, Oregon, Maryland, and Memphis as schools recruiting him the most agressively, according to Scout.
The world may never knowIs KO still going hard at this kid? Also does the staff have a relationship with his new prep program?
Windsor, CA and a fly by night basketball high school instead of Orange County and Mater Dei? Interesting choice. http://1percentclub.org/Prolific Prep.htm
He just posted an interview with Jackson. Looks like he's scheduled an official visit with us.just got a crystal ball pick from jeff ermann for us
Completely agree. If Gabriel is Plan A, Durham and Jackson are a hell of a pair of backups. If either of those guys was more likely to come here than Gabriel, I'd back out of Gabriel now and close out Durham or Jackson. If we could somehow land both Gabriel and one of these two, it means that Amida is going pro, and that maybe the AAC won't be such a huge hindrance.I still think this guy's flying way under the radar.
It's understandable why Gabriel is the top priority, but Vance Jackson would fit in really well here.
