Castle played better in the second half, he just is clearly the most talented player on the court he makes everything look easy.

Solo does not seem to want to come off the bench.

Diarra brought some really good defense tonight.

Karaban is still off but he fought all night

Our backcourt is really good.

Wow, what an intense game and win against a very good NC team. The crowd added to the intensity and post season feel to the game.
Good to see there was no let down after last game. Positives and contributions all around by a number of players. The were fired up throughout.

And a Bill Murray sighting to boot
Notice Bill Murray was 420 lol.

Don’t have the energy right now to post all thoughts, but great win against a really good team. Terrific response to the KU game. Now, get the walk ons on the court in the first half and rest all these hurt boys up for Zaga.

  • Samson is my unsung hero of the game. The box score does not do justice to how well he neutralized Bacot in the second half, especially after he and Clingan both got their third. Things could have gotten really dark if he picked up a fourth quickly.
  • LOVE Spencer’s fire. He’s bringing that AJax edge that made this team such a relentless opponent last season.
  • Karaban’s shooting looked way better than previous games (less the one deep brick). He also just murdered UNC on cuts to the basket.
  • It just feels like we haven’t seen Clingan at full speed yet. Combo of the foot getting aggravated again and not being able to get his endurance up with the long layoff. Really hoping he can get healthy and be the dude.
  • Hello Solo Ball. Maybe this is the game that loosens him up.
  • Loved seeing Castle back. Not surprised he was a bit tentative. Hopefully he can knock the rust off against UAPB before the big test against Gonzaga.
  • +12 on the boards and no one in double digits. The entire team just straight out-worked UNC.
  • Outside of that really wild stretch to start the second half, thought the zebras were really good. Felt like they overcorrected trying to keep a handle on things, but settled back in.
  • On that note, if you’re Bacot and talk that talk, you better not get punked in the second half against two dudes in foul trouble. Almost complete non factor after halftime.
Agree w everything except the refs. They were flat out AWFUL. And I never complain about refs. For a 10 minutes stretch it was comical.

Just glad it's over. This one was hard to watch. The refs were abysmal.

Our guys were just better. Solid rebounding, they are so unselfish. The assist were probably much higher than UNC's.

This is a good win for the resume when tournament time comes around.

Another game before the number 7 Zags.

Half the team is recovering from injury and they just beat top 10 UNC by double digits. GREAT win

Looks like it just took Karaban some time to get used to the finger wrap. 18 points on 47% despite a really rough first half

Spencer is a quiet killer again. I knew he was having a good game, but not 23/7/6 good

SOLO BALL!! No doubt those three point reps in the buy games helped his rhythm, 3 triples and 13 points tonight

Having Newton and Castle in while UNC was making their run was crucial. They take care of the ball so well, and completely negated UNC’s trap

Danny Hurley still can’t win close games…:)

What a great game. Foul disparity... No comment there. A couple of guys banged up a bit and Clingan still looking rusty (and banged up as well), and it still feels like we stomped a top 10 team.

Still, what a great win by the team. Funny hearing the announcers talking about UConn being "more tough". They seem to get that from their Head Coach. Nice coming out game by Ball. Imagine how much good this will do for his confidence going forward - regardless of whether he or Castle starts, both are going to contribute a lot this season (I'm sure Castle will be back in the starting lineup sooner rather than later).

Just an all around feel good game. UNC game back a few times, and then UConn took off again. Just a FUN team to watch!!
