2-2 now top 4 mazz is playing...not sure what yesterday was about. up until the shu series he was crushing the ball.
Interesting that Mazz is playing. He looked pretty bad this weekend. A number of minor things could really hinder your swing though. Sore ribcage, abdomen, oblique, really anything in the upper body. 2 days off could fix a lot of that too.
Down 3-2 after 5. Worth noting that all 3 runs allowed have been unearned. 2 as the result of fielding errors, 1 as the result of a wild pitch.
Offense continues to struggle. UMass pitcher had 3 innings on the year coming into the game, we get him for 2 in the first and haven't touch him since. When we have gotten the lead off runner on in a couple of innings we haven't been able to do anything with it. This would be a bad loss for them.
UMass pulling their starter. New pitcher is a Freshman with 3.1 IP on the season. Hasn't allowed any runs and has 5 Ks. Let's see if we can get to him
UMass error opens the door for an RBII single by Ferriter. Ferriter quickly becoming our most dependable player in the last week. Also, just noticed that Fuller is in the 2 hole today with Testani batting 4th. Interesting decision, I think I like it. From the limited action I've seen I think Testani is more of a long ball threat.

Ferriter comes through. I still don't understand the steal try. I know Penders likes to run but my gosh, with a catcher. He tried stealing Pavone earlier in the game and he got caught. Do our catchers really have that much speed?
testani has really come on strong the past 2 weeks. love it, seems like 3b is his for the taking. fuller singles but we hold the runner. bases juiced here with 2 away and mazz up
Would someone like to explain to me how the runner on 2nd didn't score on a single when the count was full with 2 outs?
