Just spent the last few minutes trying to keep my wife calm with the UConn women's game. It wasn't working, but we're seeing Huskies in Tampa!!

Should be fun. They really earned it this year with basically no bench.

Popped up to end the inning. Winkel is hitting in the same general range as last season, just a little lower. His power is up a little. However, the big problem for him is his on base percentage is down a bunch from last season. Before the game it was at .269, which is pretty poor in my book. 3 walks on the season will do that to you. To me the most significant offensive thing in baseball for a player is the ability to get on base, so that is no small thing.
