Perfect game for the Yankees aside from the 1st, in what was supposed to be a throw away game for the Yankees. Don't know what Girardi was thinking starting Capuano he couldn't even get out of the 1st, great performance by Diego who should have started the game to begin with, 11 runs after being down 5-0 I like the resilience from this team. Chris Young has been a steal too bad he will be gone after this year.

That was whacked - f-bombing Girardi from when I hear Capuano was starting to when he walked his 12th guy in the first inning - then the Rangers can't get a Yankee out weird game.

Moreno is the MVP for that game though - great job!

So, #firecashman is out of the Cuelto/Hamels/Price sweepstakes. Now what? Gallardo?

Eh, its not really a problem. Yankees will just go after Price when he's a free agent, where it will cost nothing but money to sign him.

Yankees should trade for Gallardo so they don't have to face him tonight. Every game counts!

Truth is they probably aren't good enough to win it all. Problem is if you want to and they stood pat on their pitching as they seemingly have, they have zero shot in a 5 or 7 game series with their 1-2-3.

Cash aggravates me when he is so passive. One or two moves from being a WS contender. If we stand pat, we are 1
one more injury away irrelevance.

With Pineda going down its time for Luis Severino. He is dominating at AAA and recently struck out 10 Iron Pigs. He is 7-0.

Cashman said Luis Severino's next start will be for the Yankees. Looking forward to that start though they haven't announced what day yet.

Good, and I hope they don't announce it till game time for the element of surprise fro the other team, and to keep the pressure off the kid. Im sure they know or at least have a good idea just don't wanna let the media know.

Still wish the Yankees did/do more by the deadline. The Jays really upgraded. Did you hear about the Mariner the Yankees went after for second base? No, not that second baseman. Some unknown batting 213.

I know George was crazy with making deals, but Cashman just seems to scour junk heaps or do nothing. Could we have a happy medium?

Every game it seems like the offense has to score 10 runs to win. Even when the starters do pitch well they don't pitch deep enough into games. At this rate rate the pen is going to die, the month of August will be a Gauntlet.

Glad they are finally bringing Severino up but they did so with pressure on him as they now have crappy starting pitching and need him to perform. Not have at least gone out to get Kimberly to shore up what will eventually be an overworked bullpen is just a really awful job by Cashman and management. Pineda has tired it's obvious. Tanaka is not even close to himself, a good "pitcher" most of time solid but not really dependable. Even a Smardjia type would have helped at this time of need. Mateo was gone if the did get Kimbrell and I know they like him but Gregorious is young so why not take a chance?

I'll correct myself, the Yankees did get the 213 batting second baseman Ackley from the Mariners. I think we know have 4 or 5 second basemen who aren't quite good enough.
Cash's big move at the trade deadline. Sad.
