[Considers making joke at Pat Summitt's expense...decides against it]
In terms of age, Geno was 31 when he got the UConn job. He spent 4 years as an assistant at UVA before that. Summitt was an assistant for 2 years before getting a HC job. Maybe a few more years as an assistant would have taught him that it's a bad idea to have a relationship with a player outside of the normal coach-player interaction. Then again, he literally spent his entire life around college basketball and hadn't figured that out, so maybe it wouldn't have made a difference.
Considering his upbringing, the expectations for him, and that he's already married, he picked a spectacular way to ruin his career.
