I want to disregard this, but Louisville is dumb enough to sign its own death warrant.
No way the State of Arizona lets ASU get left behind.I know this is non key but let’s say this is true…
Any chance the big 12 with their new found leverage told asu no and this is an attempt to save face?
You never know. ASU is described as a cancer by their own conference mates so there's that.I know this is non key but let’s say this is true…

Pitino instantly makes the Johnnies good and a national story. Big East basketball is going to be bonkers this season. Love having him back in the Big East.
I would not doubt this. Somehow every one lands on their feet and we are still on the outside looking in would be par for the course.I'm curious as to what color the sky is in MH Ver's world.
Bump.Which we know they never do.
ACC never moves quick.I have to admit that ACC expansion idea sounds real interesting. They’d have to move quickly.
Bump.
ACC had a meeting scheduled for last night. Presumably to add PAC schools. They had to cancel the meeting because the Big 12 and B1G completely devoured the PAC before they could have a meeting.
That is how "quick the ACC acts".

The ACCs problem run deeper. The schools that actually matter, like Clemson, UNC and UVA, have more value to the the Big 10 than they can garner in the open market to remain in ACC.The ACC has a similar problem to the BE back when it was a hybrid conference. There are too many weak sisters that need protection for the conference to act as boldly as necessary to go toe to toe with the B1G and SEC. The B-12 was temporarily in a favorable situation but that will be gone by the end of this decade and when they need to negotiate their next media deal they'll be in a situation similar to where the PAC was the past few months.
Link...I could find no scheduled meeting...or is this just a parable?
On the surface, it appears that the ACC is a dead man walking. What can they possibly do to move the needle? If they remain idle and just allow their petulant child to consistently kick and scream, they will have a similiar fate to the PAC 12. They need to act, they need to find some niche that makes them at least as viable as the Big 12. If you are going to be a disruptor, go big. Think long term and think fit. Add Stanford, UConn, and Cal for football/basketball. Add Gonzaga, Villanova, Georgetown, and St. Johns for hoops.
But ESPN won't pay for that. Exactly. Disney is desperately looking to partner Espn with a streamer. Iger covets Apple. This new league and content would be the perfect marriage. It also protects the ACC when the bigger schools leave.
Do you really need proof that the ACC is rudderless?Link...I could find no scheduled meeting...or is this just a parable?
