It can be argued that the Cavs are Connecticut's team. The Western Reserve of Connecticut included Cleveland and all of NE Ohio. I never realized it until a few years ago, but if you look at a map of Ohio, there are towns all over northeastern Ohio named after their Connecticut counterparts. There's a Bristol, Fairfield, Hartford, Berlin, Stamford, almost any town you can name in Connecticut has a sister town in NE Ohio. We sold it to them after Ohio became a state in the early 1800's. Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland is a vestige of Connecticut's Western Reserve. I think we also almost went to war with Pennsylvania over a chunk of NE PA.
