Would love to see UCONN schedule a series with Iowa State next year. Great fans, Good team, really nice people. My daughter played there in 2012.

I'd love to see them in Iowa City but I have a feeling that's, um, never going to happen.

IIRC, Iowa State said no because their conference schedule is tough enough.

If it were to happen, I'm sure Kiah would have gotten a homecoming.
I get what you are saying but Iowa State would not exactly be "Home" for Kiah. Kiah is from Marion about 2 hours away from Iowa State which is in Ames. A home game for her would be at the University of Iowa about 40 miles from Marion.

2 hours or 40 miles not much difference when you are in Heaven

Yes, which is why I specified Iowa City.

The fan support for Iowa State is unreal, considering they have never been an elite team.
I believe Tennessee will take back the attendance title next season.

The UConn numbers represent a significant uptick in attendance after more than 10 years of decline. They did slide another position relative to other schools (5 last year) but lets hope this year is indicating a turnaround. For those that haven't followed UConn's attendance woes, the team has gone from being the perennial #2 (behind UTenn) to #6. More important than the ranking are the numbers - for the 10 years ending in last year the home attendance dropped nearly 40%. This years' numbers show an increase greater than 7% from last year.

It would be interesting to see a comparison of ticket prices for the ten teams if that is available somewhere.
I'm pretty sure we have the highest average cost. There was a time when we were the only WBB team showing a profit.

A tournament showing better than last year's S16, combined with the hype around Russell and DeShields should help us regain the title next year.

Kaleena's homecoming was even more distant.

If you do that you also have to include median income in the states. Even so, I'm sure your tickets are relatively expensive. Certainly more than at USC, but we had 10,644 for the opening round today on a Friday afternoon at NCAAT prices. Tournament attendance will be a good comparison.

There were some complaints posted yesterday about really poor attendance at Duke but the ESPN box score listed attendance as N/A. Anyone happen to know what it is?

And I agree that it would be an interesting comparison of attendance factoring in both ticket prices for regular season games and the income levels for the states.

2712. ESPN always gives the attendance in the second of two games in a pod, in this case the Tulane-Miss St. game. The attendance is of course that total number of sold tickets, and it does not mean that it just counted the few fans who remained for the second game.
