Haiku is a Japanese-style poem of exceeding simplicity. It is composed of 3 lines with 5 syllables in lines 1 and 3, and 7 syllables in line 2. Rhyme is not required. Usually it limits itself to a single idea. There are few hard and fast rules for haiku, but to be true haiku it's best to try for the 5/7/5 arrangement. Anyone can do it:

Losing games this year;
Many teams want to play us;
So far it's all-good.

Beauty an arcing
Rainbow ball sent heavenward
By dainty fingers.

Aspiration grows
As winning ways persist
To become culture.

Your turn.
