I remember thinking I got hosed until someone posted the screenshot from ESPN of me standing on the court screaming in Brian O’Connell’s ear.

The security guards who walked me out thru the bowels of MSG couldn’t have been nicer though. We had a good laugh at my expense.
Please share. I may have a newfound respect. Granted, someone who is a member of the Association should know better, but the rest of us degenerates have a pretty low bar.

From behind the hoop by the uconn bench, I saw Bouk stand during play and lean over into the court multiple times. It looked as if he was taking selfies on more than 1 occasion with his extended arm over the out of bounds line. He was warned multiple times by the ref. I'm actually a bit surprised at the response on here. If you saw it on TV you might not have seen the multiple interactions he had with the refs. From my angle, he was closer to the court more than I have ever seen any fan in the first row. This wasn't a one and done, it was multiple times throughout the game.
Ok. So what’s so egregious about that? And what was so wrong with how he walked off the court?

Thought it was hilarious. And it's gotten some favorable media coverage too. This is an excerpt from CBS Sports:

Winner: James Bouknight's UConn cred

There is officially one tried-and-true test to determine whether a former player is, or is not, legendary at the school. And I propose it has a name: The Bouknight Test, named after ex-UConn star James Bouknight. Here's why: Bouknight was ejected from UConn's game Saturday for apparently standing on the court with his phone. From courtside seats, I should add. But he passed the test that hereby carries his name for this reason: He simply side-stepped his own ejection with a hesi-fake and scooted over into the student section to catch the action. Huskies fans initially booed the ref who tried to give Bouknight the boot, then absolutely loved it when he simply moved to a different section. Legendary move.

If Bouk goes out and averages 20 ppg for Charlotte the gm will not be thinking about a VERY minor incident that happened at a college game in the middle of February. They just won’t.
Earlier this week, there was debate about whether an average fan could score 20 points in an NBA game if he played the full 82 game season.

Now the discussion has shifted to whether it'd be OK for an NBA player to get ejected from a college game if he averages 20 points a game.

It's like moving poetry magnets around on a refrigerator door:

NBA, 20, game, average, points

This board is much more lively when the team wins. Let's go Huskies!

Unless you're the hornets GM, interesting promise to make. I've evaluated employees for two decades. If at a firm party an employee kept ignoring demands from a bartender until he was told to leave, I guaranty you the people who make decisions would remember it.
Omg dude. He got told to leave his seat and he did. Nothing happened. Give it a break

All of that is fine. I won’t tell you how you should think. But then why wasn’t he escorted out? Because the ref didn’t throw him out of the arena. It’s really simple. He didn’t leave because he wasn’t told he had to. He actually got permission to go in the student section from security and the school
My friends have been kicked out of games numerous times and they’ve been escorted out. If it was so bad the ref would’ve gone to the scorers table to tell security to get him out of here

Bolded it for you. Also never said anything about how he walked off.

In any case, they were able to comment on the UConn game on Channel 7 WABC in NYC on the 6pm news. Gave UConn basketball some exposure, then they even mentioned the women's blow out last night. Pretty good for a sports filled Saturday.

Vital was wearing an Army green jacket. Didn’t think he was with Bouk. Thought he was closer to our bench.
Vital was in front of me, on the baseline by the bench. He was not tossed

One game I went to while he was injured he was moved away from the other players by staff to the end of the bench with the equipment managers and such. Later in the game he got up and moved back with the players and the coaches didn’t seem thrilled. It was kind of strange.
Some have more info than others on Bouk and the team dynamic. I think that needs to stay confidential. He was and is a young kid. I don’t want to start digging up rumors and referendums on the kids character(no implying you were, just in general). It was harmless. Can we please just let it go. Bouk provided so much for our program. Let it go and let him be young.

If I was sitting in those seats, I'd probably get tossed too.

My friends are concerned about me sometimes, and I'm not in the first row

Thank you JB, thank you for bleeding blue, thank you for waking up our team, and I hope to see you again whenever your schedule permits

Bouk was chirping at players his own age on a team that he played against a year ago? You guys seriously mad at that? Should he have done it? Maybe not. Do I see why he did? Yeah. For one there Might be some bad blood from last season or the other guy might have been talking trash to some of Bouk’s friends who are still playing for UConn.

The guy might be in the NBA but he’s still young and having fun. There was nothing criminal and I don’t think anything was done with malicious intent.

When I was in my early 20s I got kicked out of the Civic Pub & Russian Lady, boo-ed out of my section when leaving Gampel (for screaming epitaphs at Boston college players) and my date spilled a giant spiked drink onto the court the one time we had court-side seats. Thankfully the latter was in Morgantown & we weren’t ejected, instead cheered the huskies to an OT victory in NIT - ground floor of when this $hite began. I cannot stand & judge my fellow Fan harshly.

BREAKING NEWS: James Bouknight was thirsty 1 year ago. Morality and maturity level now up for debate.

I was talking about a game I went to a few weeks ago, with Charlotte. I didn’t make much of it at the time.
