Jerry Martin, passed away a few years ago sadly.

Diaco came in my last year as a manager. Wonderful guy, treated me fantastic. All of the staff were so good to us. It's sad to see him go knowing him on a personal level & all he's done for my family, but I want to see UConn back to being great again.Hopefully, this hire is the one to do it.

I agree. Missed tackles led to their first 2 TD Drives. Shireffs has missed many easy throws and while I love his toughness, He's not a college QB. Defense has played ehh, we've had no pass rush all game and missed tackles and that blown coverages is all on the players.

There's no reason to call play-action on third down. Everyone knows it's coming. We didn't see many of the fast screens that we've been seeing. I don't see many route concepts out there, like smash, mesh, posts etc. Seems like we only throw it deep, and we barely get our TE's involved.

I think it's more the kids' fault than the coaches. The players gave up out there, very soft bunch of guys, let one thing get to them and it knocks them out. the players are the ones that have to perform, and they are the ones who are constantly messing up. Not a talented team we got.

Not Mangini, no NFL guys, we tried that and failed, We need a college coach who can win in college, recruit 18 year old kids and connect with them, not NFL guys. we need an up and coming coach or asst. that'll put his own mark on this program and make it relevant and exciting for people to come...

We need someone who will bring excitement to the program, someone who will get people to come and stay for games. Look up what PJ Fleck has done for Western Michigan so far, 20+ recruits, him and his staff put out a harlem shake video etc. I would love to see a hot young coach get his first job...
