Women’s Hoops Rumblings
Word has it that Ohio State has several people that it’s pursuing to fill the head coaching spot vacated when Jim Foster was ousted. Three names that are on the list will be familiar to UConn fans: Coquese Washington, head coach of Penn State, Brenda Frese, head coach of Maryland and…Geno Auriemma of UConn. Sources are mum on Auriemma’s interest in the job.
It’s rather odd that Ohio State is looking to plunder the coaching ranks of one current and one future conference-mate. Poaching a rival’s coach could make for rather awkward B1G Athletic Directors’ meetings.
