Third Live Period Report

Once again the staff is on the road to watch recruits. This evaluation period is possibly the most important of them all. Most, if not all, head coaches start off the last live period by watching their top target. They have watched them many times over the previous two periods but this now shows recruits they really want them. They then go on to watch other recruits or stay dialed in on that one major recruit.

For the first two days of the last live period the staff was located in two locations. Head coach Kevin Ollie was in Atlantic City locked in a player who has quickly became what looks like the staffs top priority. The other two members of the staff on the road looked to be Hobbs and Miller. They were our west in Las Vegas for the Fab48 and Super64 tournaments. Here’s who the staff watched:

• 2014- Abdul Malik-Abu (PF): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday and once on Thirsday at the Live in AC tournament.

• 2014- Jared Terrell (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday and once on Thursday at the Live in AC Tournament.

• 2014- Daniel Hamilton (SG): The UConn commit was watched by UConn on Wednesday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2015- Tyler Dorsey (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2015- Stephen Zimmerman (C): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2016- Vance Jackson (SF): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2015- Isaiah Briscoe (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Live in AC tournament.

• 2014- Myles Turner (C): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Wade Baldwin (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Josh Perkins (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Jordan McLaughlin (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Kaleb Jospeh (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at Adidas Super64 tournament.

• 2014- Goodluck Okonoboh (C): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Adidas Super64 tournament.

• 2015- Curtis Cobb (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Adidas Super64 tournament. He was then offered by UConn after the game.

• 2015- Josh Sharma (C): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday at the Adidas Super64 tournament. He was then offered by UConn after the game.

On Friday morning Ollie had relocated going from the Live in AC tournament to the KC Hardwood Classic. However, his assistants were still in Las Vegas watching recruits. Here’s who was being watched:

• 2014- Jordan McLaughlin (PG): He was watched by UConn once during the day on Friday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Josh Perkins (PG): His team was playing against Jordan McLaughlin’s team on Friday at the Fab48 tournament. However, Perkins was injured and didn’t play at all. It still looks good to him that someone from the staff was there.

• 2014- Terry Larrier (SF): He was watched by UConn twice on Friday at the KC Hardwood Classic.

• 2015- Cheick Diallo (PF): He was watched by UConn twice on Friday at the KC Hardwood Classic.

• 2014- Kaleb Joseph (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Friday at the Adidas Super64 tournament.

• 2014- Goodluck Okonoboh (C): He was watched by UConn once on Friday at the Adidas Super64 tournament.

• 2015- Curtis Cobb (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Friday at the Adidas Super64 tournament.

• 2015- Josh Sharma (C): He was watched by UConn once on Friday at the Adidas Super64 tournament.

• 2014- Daniel Hamilton (SG): He was watched by UConn twice on Friday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2015- Tyler Dorsey (PG): He was watched by UConn twice on Friday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2016- Vance Jackson (SF): He was watched by UConn twice on Friday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Myles Turner (C): He was watched by UConn twice on Friday at the Fab48 tournament.

• ***The staff was also at a couple of other games however it was unclear exactly who they were watching. No known targets were playing in the games.***

At some point late Friday afternoon to early Friday night Ollie moved again. This time from the KC Hardwood Classic to Las Vegas to join his assistants. There are many tournaments going on in Las Vegas this live period. Here’s a list of recruits the staff watched:

• 2014- Jordan McLaughlin (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Friday night and once on Saturday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2015- Isaiah Briscoe (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday at The Eight tournament.

• 2014- Tyler Ulis (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday at The Eight tournament.

• 2015- Jeremy Hemsley (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Daniel Hamilton (SG): The UConn commit was watched by UConn once on Saturday and once on Sunday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2015- Tyler Dorsey (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday and once in Sunday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2016- Vance Jackson (SF): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday and once on Sunday at the Fab48 tournament.

• 2014- Isaiah Whitehead (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Sunday at the Fab48 tournament.

• ***The staff was also at a couple of other games however it was unclear exactly who they were watching. No known targets were playing in the games.***
