Huskies Host SMU to Close Out the Year

@MattSchonvisky

SMU (0-11, 0-7 AAC) comes to Rentschler Field today, looking for their first win of the season, while the Huskies (2-9, 1-6) look to match their win total from a year ago.

The Mustangs have struggled, to say the least, getting outscored on the year 476-106, an average score of 43-9.

It is senior day, so expect to see Chandler Whitmer, a bunch. Whitmer has provided a much better threat offensively than sophomore Tim Boyle, who has seen action in preparation for the future, since the Huskies were eliminated from bowl contention with the loss to Army at Yankee Stadium.

Today, however, is all about the seniors. Honored before the game will be:

QB Chandler Whitmer, WR Geremy Davis, WR Deshon Foxx, C Alex Mateas, OL Gus Cruz, CB Byron Jones, DL B.J. McBryde, DL Angelo Pruitt, QB Casey Cochran, DE Reuben Frank, LB Brandon Steg, OL Bryan Paull, LS Adam Mueller and DB Chris DeBerry

Expect a big game from Whitmer, Davis and Foxx offensively.

PREDICTION: UConn 38 SMU 10
