Dwayne Bacon Talk UConn Offer

UConn decided to offer the very talented 6″6″ 205lbs. class of 2015 shooting guard who attends IMG Academy in Florida, the same high school that current UConn husky DeAndre Daniels attended for his post-grad year, on Tuesday night. Bacon, who compares himself to Tyreke Evans, transferred to the IMG Academy this summer and will be there his junior and senior seasons.

Before his UConn offer he held offers from NC State, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Louisville, Oklahoma State, and many others. Bacon talked about how the offer went down and what he thought of the UConn offer, “They just told me they love me and love how I play and they offered. I think it was a great pick up. They run so it could be a good fit for me.” He would be another interchangeable player that Kevin Ollie has been recruiting that could play both the two and three in Ollie’s three guard lineups.

I also asked him what his thoughts were on UConn at this point, “I like that they get people to the NBA pretty often. I really don’t know anything else about them.” That will certainly be changing as Ollie and his staff will be telling him about UConn in hopes of getting him to play college basketball for them.
