Carla Berube’s #4 Tufts Team Still Undefeated

Carla Berube is no stranger to undefeated seasons. A pivotal role player for the 1994-1995 undefeated National Championship UConn team, Berube is now leading another team on a quest for perfection. Her Tufts women’s basketball team is now tied for the #4 Division 3 ranking with Whitman College.

The rise in the polls is due to the Jumbos’ January 17th victory over conference nemesis, and then #3 Amherst. It was Tufts’ first victory over Amherst since 2007.

Too bad Carla and her team are doing all of this in obscurity. I can’t find any coverage in the Massachusetts papers and Berube is probably just has happy to be out of the spotlight but, like her college coach, would probably appreciate having her players recognized. Well, I’m recognizing you and your excellent team, Coach Berube. Go Jumbos!
