This is either going to get binned, or it's a case of tree falling in the forest, but shocked that there isn't a mention of this anywhere...

Apparently a sponsor forced hands...

I tuned in for a few of his B12 moments end of last summer....was thoroughly unimpressed. There are three dozen boneyarders that could do a better "show."

Not going to carry the guys bucket but he was much better during the season and when he had guests. His off-season stuff left a lot to be desired but I think that can be attributed to having a daily podcast on UConn ball in the off-season. Have you seen how off-topic this place can get in the off-season?

Didn't watch in season....his B12 interviews had so many holes I couldnt be bothered to check back in with the guy. There is the matter of having a content crisis and then there is the matter of just being uninformed.

Meh, I've seen worse from better informed. I know I put my hat down on a recruit (Larrier) before by someone as close to the recruit as can be and was wrong.

Just said he got better in season when he was actually asking questions of the staff, interviewing people and analyzing games.

I hate to see people work hard at something and then have the rug pulled out. Wasn’t a fan and I thought the content was weak and he was trying way too hard to be I’m not sure what. But, his episodes seemed to be getting better and he seemed to be more comfortable in his skin.

Couldn't happen to a worse guy, he won't be missed. Maybe next year he can pick a different team to bandwagon and make up rumors about
He is going to be covering the entire Big East. "Big East Breakdown" or something like that.

It's a shame to go out like that. He should have known better.

There is more to it than that. I won't mention it here. But if you dig a little you will find it.

Off season Locked On podcasts are brutal no matter what team, host or sport it’s covering. There just isn’t enough stuff to talk about to fill a daily podcast. It’s just a content machine with very little quality.

I listened to his show for a bit and was ok with his commentary until he started referring to Hurley as “Dan” like every other minute…Dan this, Dan that..Dude does not have the chops to be on a first name, felt to me like he was trying to be more credible than he is. I’ll stick with Torres…

I don’t think he’s a bad guy. Trying too hard is most appropriate. Trying to squeeze things to talk about when there is nothing to talk about isn’t the way to get viewers. Also way too much gleaning of himself, felt like public therapy at times and Hurley was his therapist.

Then there is this Torres character - the guy starts every episode like he’s coming off a coke binge. It’s a lot.

Whatever he’s a Uconn fan and he means well, he does help out our NIL. If he’s too much for you it’s very simple don’t listen to him. No one should ever take rumors as fact.

There are too many podcasters.

In nature, when a population gets out of control, rabies or something shows up and restores the proper order of things, but I am guessing podcasters cannot be similarly controlled.

But this seems like a good start.

He already landed well... yes, it was a guest that had come on with him and they promoted something "rivaling" locked on so out he went.

I view him as a decent news source for UConn basketball - I have yet to hear him speculate on anything without saying he heard from someone he trusts close to UConn or something like that.
