Derek Chard was cut 1 week after reporting to the Steelers. He was used as a bargaining chip by the Steelers to get their imcumbant longsnapper signed & into training camp.

Seahawks fans seem surprised Hurd got cut. They seem worried another team is gonna swoop him up before they can sign him to the practice squad. But that info was from a fan forum and we know how reliable those are.....
