Yesterday was the first day of practice

Still waiting for all players to go 100%

Auriemma said the Huskies are waiting on Dorka Juhász (wrist), Caroline Ducharme (hip) and Aubrey Griffin (back) to be back “able to go full.” Freshman Ayanna Patterson recently tweaked her ankle as well.

First game is less than a month ago...'tis good that March and April are a ways away.
A bit concerned about the lingering effects for several of our key players.

Oooowwee!! Ayanna is going to be special! Like someone said, I know it is only highlights but I am loving what I am seeing in the highlights!

Next week:

AP poll released on Tuesday Oct 18
Big East Media day at MSG in NYC on Tuesday Oct 18
Private scrimmage against unknown team on Saturday Oct 22
Things to look forward to!

I think we'll be higher than the #6 we are in the ESPN ranking.

I wonder who goes to Media Day? Azzi for sure. Paige? Lou? Nika?

Last year's scrimmage against BC was very productive. I hope we get some feedback after the fact.

I think it's more of a process thing than lingering injuries. Fudd had no surgery but still had her activity limited to get her foot as healed as possible for November. I would think that the surgery returnees have been on a similar schedule. I think they all have medical releases and it's a cautious rehab process more than any setback. Patterson is the only one to have a new injury (ankle). I remember watching one of the more recent workout videos where she was standing in the background and wondering why. But she was still doing other stuff.

Geno using the apparatus :D:D

I loved the protective eye gear on YANNA. = not to mention
her saving the ball from going out of bounds and diving
for the loose ball. ICE was also impressive with some
put backs and "inside = out passes". I looking forward to
the repeat game of Lou Lopez Senechal against TEXAS!
I want to see Lou Lopez even the score from that loss
of Fairfield U against Texas last season. All the ladies looked
fine!
