Yarders post covid concert/s that they would like to attend?

I caught a Santana show around a week ago here in California. Counting Crows were the opening act. I'd seen the Crows before and was a little disappointed in how lethargic their show was. Maybe they just didn't want outshine the headliner, but they seemed to have very little energy. Santana was great. The guy is 77 but can still pick it. I didn't realize that his wife is one of the drummers in the band. She rocked.

Went to see a friend's friend (Josh O'Keefe )open up for Glen Hansard at the Beacon theatre last night. Glen is on tour opening up for Pearl jam. Josh was really good, sounds very much Americana , Dylan type stuff. Glen is always good.

I had a few friends there last night and they enjoyed him. He came out to do one song with Glen Hansard before Pearl Jam on Tuesday and sounded good. Glen Hansard was very solid, and Pearl Jam was amazing as always. Seeing them at MSG was special.

I was among the 1,000 or so fans lucky enough to see Jack White at Toad’s Place last night and holy smokes was it amazing. I’d never seen him before, and I certainly never expected to see him in a place like that. It was a long wait to get in and it was absolutely PACKED, but it’s one of the coolest shows I’ve ever seen. As good as the setlist was, just seeing the list doesn’t do it justice

@Letsgohuskies11 got me out to check the Doo Dahs, a Dead tribute that was incredibly solid. Good musicians, guitar tone on point and second set was appropriately jammed out. Played for free at Tilley Pond Park in Darien. I can’t find any website/social for them, but if they’re in your hood, catch ‘em.

This reminds me of a show that is at Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton with Steely Dead. I am a big fan of Steely Dan but never saw this combination of Steely Dan and The Dead. Has anyone ever heard them?

Yes very good, as long as they don't have the annoying add-on percussionist. Does Funky Biscuit still have the great New Orleans bands play there when they come through South Florida? A hottie named Jackie used to book them there!

Thanks. Not sure about New Orleans bands when I check their calendar. They still have much blues such as Ana Popovic who is very good.

Had the pleasure of seeing the John Scofield Trio at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday Night. I've been watching Sco live since I was a junior in high school and while I like him in all formats, I like his trio stuff the best. Just great to see him rippin' and being weird in his 70s.

Got front row seats to see Vulfpeck's Antwaun Stanley at FTC StageOne last night. No more than 100 people in the crowd, but the vibe was pristine. So much encouraged interplay between him and the audience. Honestly, considering how popular Vulfpeck has gotten, I was surprised how empty the place was, but that didn't take away from the show.

The Black Crowes did not disappoint last night even in full skeleton makeup! New album is pretty good. They played their old stuff extremely well and played some great covers including Goo Goo Muck by the Cramps and Oh! Sweet Nuthin’ by the Velvet Underground. So much better than when I saw them open for Tom Petty in 2005 when they were pretty bad.

Thanks @dvegas. I saw Steely Dead the other night. No annoying percussionist, just the drummer. Enjoyable show for me. I am a bigger Dan fan than a Grateful Dead fan but enjoy both. Nice to hear Steely Dan tunes such as "Bodhisattva", "Boston Rag" and a tune that I have not heard in a long time "Razor Boy". They could use some better vocals at times but a good show, nonetheless.

I just wish that I had a seat but I was only able to get general admission tickets, so I had to stand. This was only an issue since some people were dancing as if there was plenty of dancing space but that was not the case. But at least, they had a few screens outside so you could sit down and still enjoy the show if you wanted.

Maybe not quite as bad as the folks who view going to a concert as a good chance to catch up with a friend and want to jabber the whole time, seemingly paying no attention whatsoever to the performer and what's happening on stage.

My wife helped us discover a small winery place in North Haven called Small Batch Cellars. They book music acts often. We have already been 4 times. Mystic Dead has 2 shows booked. 1/11 and 3/1.

Last night's Steve Winwood and Tedeschi Trucks show at the AMP was just an amazing show. I was just slightly disappointed that Steve Winwood did not play Low Spark, but really I'm nit picking here. Just a great double bill.

Incredible show! Both sets were so good, but I thought “With A Little Help From My Friends” was especially killer. Also, I enjoy the venue better now that I know not to sit in a section behind a giant pillar.

That was a killer song! Ya, those pillars can ruin it, we had one but it didn't not obstruct the view since it was to the far left of the stage.

My first time seeing TTB and going to Bridgeport. Loved them both. They sounded absolutely killer live and thought the venue itself was a great place to see a show. Also had some premier parking things so in and out was a breeze. Would do both again.
