Xavier Post Game Thread

Can’t complain about a 30 point win where the game was over after 5 minutes!

Xavier’s leading scorer had 14, and that includes 2 garbage time FTs with a minute left. Our leading scorers were: Silas (17), Reed (14), Reibe (14). Then Mullins at 13 and Ross at 11. Defense was elite and we had 5 guys near or above their leading scorer. Good recipe!

Silas is an absolute dog. 9-14 from three in his last three games

Tarris 19-20 FG in his last 3 games. Wow.

Braylon 10 points in the first 4 minutes. He moves different

Reibe looked really good and hit his FTs!!

Ross was tentative to start but composed himself for 3 threes and a (kind of) alley oop slam

That was fun!

8th in KenPom. 26th on offense. Moved up 14 spots in 2 games. Still 5th in defense.
This is why KenPom and other analytics are not everything. Two games ago analytics told us we couldn’t have these performances and couldn’t win a natty (based on historical trends). Now, two games later, the analytics say we can.

Dead people have a better graph than Xavier.

Ross with three daggers from three and an ally-oop. He was our best three-point shooter tonight.

Reibe and Ross were almost scoring a point a minute of playing time. If Danny left them on the floor, they would’ve had 30 each!

They did. #8, 26th best O, 5th best D.

This will keep changing since KP is only up to 8 of 31 games tonight.
Eh who cares if Kenpom factors in our history and says we are 26th best. The last couple games things are clicking and shots are falling. We’re playing like a top 10 offense easily.

He was so dominate early I was starting to wonder at what point does he become our best player? Seems we are not quite there yet but it feels like it is coming. Not sure why he sat so much in the first half. Wish Hurley played him more.
