It's almost exactly in line with UConn's timeline to resume. UConn tested positive Dec 6, returned Dec 14. Xavier tested positive Dec 11, returned Dec 18. So just 1 day sooner

Not for every school. UConn is going maximum shut down, delay and cancel. Most other schools are taking the minimum requirements.

The 2 weeks isn't mandatory and can be tested out of. UConn just chose to be cautious and use that 5 day window for practice

I think CDC has been shortening the quarantine period based on new data, plus I think it varies by state.
