X factors for a 3 peat

No predictions until I see the team play at least a half dozen games.
This will be a completely different team. The perimeter defense is going to be better w/o Cam and Newton but the interior D will be tested with Samson and Reed w/o DC and AK.
Missing Castle may be the biggest void.
The team will need to replace nearly all its offensive output, especially if AK doesn't return.
Nobody on the returning team has experienced being the top scorer of even one game while in college (Maybe SJ once).
Lots of question marks but I strongly feel the staff will figure it out by the early NBE season start in 2025 and it should be a fun run. Close games could be a real thing,

Based on AK’s shooting performance in the combine it seems like his likelihood of going at the end of the first round is much higher now?
If that is the case it could be a bit of of a rough start until the team jells.
Doesn’t seem like that is being considered in all this 3 peat talk.
We lose Clingan, Newton, Spencer and Karaban, we don’t miss a beat and are onto #3?
The step ups from Stewart and Ball would have to be enormous not to mention Johnson.

I regret posting this but here goes.

The last time anyone saw an NCAA basketball three-peat the heroes were John Wooden, Bill Walton and the UCLA Bruins. From 1971 through 1973, the Bruins won the last of their seven straight NCAA championships. They posted an unthinkable record of 89-1 along the way, steamrolling everything in their path to produce one of the greatest dynasties in the history of any sport. That we are even mentioning the UCLA era is a testament to what Connecticut has accomplished the past two seasons. In capturing the school's fifth and six national titles, UConn has dominated a pair of NCAA tournament brackets and put the Huskies in the rarest of airs. A third straight championship would be worthy of the highest possible praise when parity, not possibility, rules the day. Yet here we are. Dan Hurley and the Huskies have navigated the waters of roster turnover and bracket unpredictability to what will likely be a preseason No. 1 seed for the 2024-25 season. While it is obviously quite a ways until next March and April, the mere fact a three-peat is on the table is, well, the ultimate possibility. And we can barely wait to see how it all plays out.
