Inauspicious start for WVU

i honestly don't think I've ever heard a stadium get so quiet.....maybe Boston College on Saturdays but that is it

WVU under Offensive Genius Dana Holgorsen looks an awful lot like it did last year

Dan Hurley's schemes not working all that well. This has been all Geno Smith.

Inauspicious start for WVU
Great pressure by Marshall, but to Geno Smith's credit-he's done a great job buying time with his legs finding a receiver downfield, and also scrambled for a couple solid gains as well.

.-.
Their oline can't bust a grape - only 30-odd yards rushing, plus Geno's been running for his life...

Let's try 2030... Another weather delay for half hour just as they were aboutbto re-start.

.-.
And another delay.

The Marshall AD is really putting his Ashlynn Shade on the line. 34-13 in the fourth quarter and he won't relinquish. I'm not saying it's out of the question for Marshall to come back. But, should anyone get injured from here out on out, he's the one that has to face the cameras.

??? Take the payday and go home ???

It's a rivalry game and I'm sure the players would take the field at 3:0 am if it came down to it.

But, this is where the AD's earn their money and need to be the adults and call it a game.

Unfortunately most problems in college athletics come from adults failing to act as adults.

This is kind of ridiculous. I get the whole safety aspect, but it's not like lightning is a new thing. Off the top of my head I can't remember another weekend with this many games being delayed.

Lightning is one of those weird science things where it really does't care about the past or the future. I'm thankful for the advances in technology that allow us to have better knowledge of upcoming weather.

I agree that I can't ever remember a weekend with so many weather delays due to thunderstorms, lightning, etc.

But, everyone has done the right thing with delaying the games. The decision to resume games is debatable, the decision to delay them hasn't been debatable.

"a fan not under his full faculties"???

(I do hope he/she was not seriously injured but quite the buzz - eh??)

Oh yeah, I definitely agree that safety is the #1 priority, as it should be. Just a strange strange weekend weather wise I. Actually it's been a strange weather year.

Big East and Big 12 both had clean opening weeks without a loss. I wish TCU had won but I'll settle for 8-0 for current members.
