Huge game for West Virginia tonight against Marquette. Pretty strange that it's a Friday night game in the big east, but uconn did play at Louisville last year on a friday.

It looks like Cincy and Seton Hall got the big wins they needed this week and have locked up bids, barring both going 0-3 to close the season.

Both uconn and West Virginia have one more 'big' game remaining, followed by two games against the bottom teams.

I think WVU and uconn have similar resumes. A win against Marquette and Syracuse would put these teams close to locks, but if they can't, they absolutely must win their final two.

It's all star weekend for the NBA, right? Usually there's no Friday night games because of a conflict with the NBA, but I'm pretty sure there's no games tonight.

Yea if UConn and WVU don't win these games it will put a lot of pressure on them to win the next two games. I feel if UConn doesn't beat SU they'll find a way in anyways only because the very weak bubble. But, we need a win to improve our seed I rather not see a 6 or 5 seed in the first round.

What if we lose to SU and either Prov or Pitt, are we out?

Depends on BET but would have to win at least 2 if not 3 in the BET to be in, IMO.

I think we'd need 1-2 wins rather than 2-3. Here's how I look at. Right now, every single "bracketologist" says that we are in the field as a 9-11 seed. If we lose to Syracuse but beat Providence, I wouldn't think that would change our position all that much. Losing to Cuse won't hurt us that much, beating PC won't help us that much.

So if we're still a 9-11 seed after the PC game, would losing to Pitt really knock us back to the point where we'd need 3 wins in the Big East Tournament? I think 2 would have us in pretty safely since the second game would be against another bubblish team like Seton Hall, Cinci, or WVU.

I guess it depends on who UConn plays. I don't see a win on the first day helping at all (it might actually lower SOS and RPI).
