WR Skyler Bell passed on chance to play at Michigan to return to UConn and finish what he started

Sky could realistically achieve the WR triple crown: catches, yards, and tds. He currently leads the country in all 3 categories. I never thought that would be possible at UConn.
This would be great for his career and I would love it if it happened for him. It would also be great for UConn Football's name recognition as when college football fans go to the individual stats on receiving and they see him at #1. Mora and Co. need to use this in their recruiting pitches to get good offensive players as Bell and Fagnano leave this year.

A successful athlete not looking for greener pastures and happy to stay put is so refreshing. Bell is going to light it up this year.
He’s gonna be a great example for Mora four years to come. I’ve been saying it for the longest time. I think you can accomplish everything you need to if your goal is to play in the NFL at UConn,

We may not be a football powerhouse, but we’re on TV every single week and there’s no doubt NFL scouts are watching, and why not play at a place where you’re appreciated and you get a chance to show your stuff week after a week. You’re not riding the bench for stretches of time.. The NIL I get though but if we’re in the ballpark, I would stay here if you developed your brand in a husky uniform.

Put up a big performance against Duke in a win and I will sign off on this.

This Duke game is the biggest I can remember since perhaps the Michigan game I was at were we had a 20 pt lead going into the 4th quarter.

That game we had 40K in Rent - yes they added seats - night game.

It was the start of the long steady decline until Mora came.

We can start writing the next chapter by beating Duke this Saturday.

You should have signed off after his performance in the Fenway Bowl. Who has been better? The last time I asked the only response I got was Terry Calley. Not even close, imo.

Caulley was on the way to super legend status until that knee injury sidetracked his trajectory. Darius Butler and Tyvon Branch were great cb's as well as Andrew Adams at Safety, Alfred Fincher and Danny Lansanah and Sio Moore were great line backers and Travis Jones, Foley Fatukosi, Shamar Stephen were great DL that played in the NFL. There have been so many great UConn players, ultimately it is about personal preference.

Great now do it against Duke and I'll sign off on it. I'm not gonna call him best player yet because I don't wanna jinx it. The second someone gets an overwhelming praise on the boneyard is the second they drop a critical pass or fumble in a big game like this one against Duke.

We saw all the praise for Mora and Joe and then what happens we lose to Rice. While I'm probably 95-99 percent leaning best UConn player of all time I'm staying in the moment because there's more to play for. I'm not gonna put a jinx on Skyler Bell.

What’s been impressive about Bell is that he is getting his catches even though you know the other team is focusing on him. They must be scheming to stop him and yet no one has stopped him.

Just saw a mock draft from ProFootballNetwork.com that has Bell going 2nd round 48th overall to the Jets. Obviously, it's kinda meaningless at this point, but it's just great to see him finally start showing up on these things.
Great that he is mentioned as part of second round. For his sake, hope it’s not the Jets although he is from NYC.

Please not the Jets.
