Well, all those fan poll votes only add up to one actual vote that counts anyway, and there are nearly 600 of those on the selection committee.

Agree. There was a tweet about Bell's stats (yds TDs) being better than the other two candidates, but the logo on the helmet won out. Comments were typical, saying well, the 1-2 place guys played against better competition, however I'd argue that Bell played who he had to, and it's not like he was going up against a FCS, D2, D3 team, and no offense to any of those.

I suppose but what’s the point of having the award or Bell in the discussion if it can only be won by a P4 or P5 receiver? Maybe G5 and P4 or P5 should each have their own awards and at the end of the year it goes into a further “best” vote. A non-power hasn’t won it since ‘98 - Troy Edward’s Louisiana Tech. Idk I still says he’s shafted. Pretty cool he was in the discussion!
