Shot release was clearly before the buzzer, so why did the ref stop the celebration? Shot was made with 1.5 (ish) left. Both refs under and opposite site signaled good, so maybe seeing if there was enough time left for NMSU to inbound and heave?

That’s a 1 in 100 shot. Feel bad for NM St players. Hell of a way to lose.

I recently watched part of a decent Hercules movie. It's pretty cool to see the Hercules Tires logos on that court for being the tournament sponsor....and making that shot certainly did require a "Herculean" effort.

My brother lives in Cedar City, both of his son's are Thunderbirds grads. They showed the finish on one of the local channels here in Vegas, the tournament is being held at the Orleans Arena. They are now in the finals, they beat Grand Canyon today, playing Cal Baptist tomorrow for the Championship.
