WoW, what a disaster

Special teams have regressed big time as noted in another thread.

Defense is the best unit on the team and they are above average but not great. Their aggressiveness leaves them open to trick plays, as we have now seen several times.

The offense is pathetic. Why run McCombs wide when he only gains going North/South? DJ looks like he still has a problem. Why do have receivers run 4 yards when we need 8? Why do we have QB's that can't throw a dump off pass for positive yards to slow down a rush or coaches that call that play?

Why do we have coaches that call difficult plays at time when we need simple plays, like 2 yards to get a first?

Why do we have receivers that can't get separation ? Several receptions tonight were really fortunate.

This is going to be a long season. Can't see a bowl game this year.

Well said. Poor coaching. Lack of focus on execution. McCoombs doed not have the speed to break out at the edge, and does nt have a string upfield cut. But, thats the least of our worries.

He also appears indecisive on which hole to hit....and that lack of decision makes him a) seems slower b) gives the D enough time to close off anything that might've been there to begin with. If he just chose a hole and hit it as hard as he could he'd be fine.
