Vernerey can't shoot ft worth a darn, and is somewhat inconsistent but if Hanson doesn't come back healed from her ACL she will be sorely missed. When she is on she is a very good defender especially on the parameter where Duke is weak. She can cover a lot of ground and her length make her a defensive force. She had some very clutch games early in the season when Williams was out or not 100%. She has just been coming back from an elbow infection that has limited her somewhat herself lately. Your comment pretty much tells me that you have had limited viewing exposure to most of Dukes games.

Yes Duke should have a really good team next year. They will have the talent anyway. Have to see how well it all works. They should have Gray, Peters, Jackson, Williams, Henson, Jones, Moore, Greenwell, Chidom and Cooper who were all McD's AAs (notice the use and non-use of apostrophes Nan). Lot's of potential talent there to work with.
