A late 3....64-62.
Clark played the second half like a very skilled and talented human being. Not a good shooting night especially from trey land.
Unbelievable run by our 'very own' BE partner...sweet 16. Next up: either Iowa State or Georgia.
These upsets are fun to watch.

Go Creighton!

What?! I’ve just gotten home from church but have to search for the write ups.

Live by Caitlin Clark, die by Caitlin Clark. The great thing about UConn is that anyone (except maybe Nika) can score and someone always steps up. That’s been true of just about every Huskies team stretching back years. It’s also been true that UConn is generally really good at shutting down the big scorer (or at least keeping them contained) so that someone else has to provide the offense. 27 points from Czinano was great, but clearly not enough. Go Big East!

Hard to win when you miss so many layups.

Creighton up 12 in 2nd quarter, 6 at half. Iowa slowly came back and finally took lead in the 4th; up by 4 twice. Iowa missed 22 layups; outrebounded 52-37. Clark 4-19 from the field. Iowa looked tight the entire game. Really great effort by Creighton; seemed to be quicker to the ball whole game. Took a lot of guts to come back when Iowa took 4th quarter lead after trailing entire game in front of a packed house. Better team won today.

Talk about an exciting game of back and forth and clutch plays by both teams. Wow, just wow. The studio camera from above that showed Rebecca's, Elle Duncan's and Nikki Farga's reactions was priceless.

Too bad that ABC game was followed up by the exact opposite of a play making, back and forth bucket for bucket with the very offensively challenged SC-Miami game. Winning ugly is becoming SC's trademark.

Congratulations to Jim Flannery and his Blue Jays. We are proud of you! Next up is Villanova...

Tough to win when you ar playing 2 on 5.

Iowa needs balanced scoring which they don't have.

Once again. I say. Iowa will never win an NC with the most amazing do everything point guard in the world, and a center. 1 or 2 amazing players are never going to win out over 5-9 really good players.

This is why "I" say let Paige be an off guard like Azzi. Take advantage of have a serviceable point (Nika) to bring up the ball. Draw the defense. Setup the offence. Distribute the ball when it's time to make something happen. . . With 4 effective disingenuous scorers.

Pressure is removed from Paige. She will be more effective as a "Scorer" first, then like everyone else a distributer when a teammate is in a better scoring position.

Or, be like Iowa.

Iowa has a really talented team. They have three players who have three-point percentages close to or above 40% (Marshall, Warnock, and Taiwo), but among the three of them, they didn't take as many as Clark, who shot around 33%. With Czinano coming back next year, they have a shot at being really good, but I think Coach Bluder needs to consider whether it's in the team's best interest to play "defense optional" and to have the ball in Clark's hands 90% of the time on offense.
